A great choice for couples and families who enjoy a gentle pace of life on holiday, Menorca is a pretty island blessed with some of the best beaches and cleanest water in the Mediterranean. The rugged northern coast is still largely unspoilt and dotted with small coves, while the south is more developed and boasts long stretches of sandy beaches. The island’s capital, Mahon, is within easy reach of any of our Menorca villas with pools and has some fine shops and restaurants, while Ciutadella on the west coast has a pretty harbour which draws the crowds in the evening. Nearby is Cala en Brut and Cala’n Forcat, where there are excellent facilities for children. Cala Galdana on the south coast is a stunning horseshoe bay and further on lies Son Bou, with probably the best beach on the island. Binibeca has won many awards for its architecture and has excellent amenities. In the north there is the popular sailing resort of Fornells, which is famous for its fish restaurants.
